Telegram monitor
Watch, filter, pause, export and record bus telegrams.
The monitor is the drawer at the bottom of the window. Ctrl+J opens and closes it. Once you are connected to a gateway it shows every telegram the gateway passes on.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Time | When it was received |
| Source | Individual address of the sender, with the device name from the project |
| Destination | A group address with its name, or a device address (marked device) |
| Service | The service, for example group value write, and confirm for the gateway’s confirmation of your own telegrams |
| Value | Decoded with the data type of the group address from the project, otherwise the raw octets. Hover to see the raw value. |
Controls:
- Filter matches address, name, service and value.
- Pause stops recording new telegrams while paused. Clear empties the table.
- Export… saves the table as CSV (the filtered rows).
- Record… writes every telegram to a new file while you watch, independent of the table, which keeps only the newest rows. Click Stop recording to finish. If the connection ends, the recording stops with it and says how many telegrams it saved.
- The table shows at most the last 1000 matching rows. Jump to latest returns to the end after you scroll up.
Watching is passive: the monitor sends nothing.
The last value seen on each group address also appears in the Group addresses list.
